MAC: Huggable Lipsticks Review + Swatches

Mac, mac, mac.....why doest thou disappoint me? LOL! Seriously though....I'm really disappointed in this collection. I was so excited to get these. As I was shopping online the ones that I wanted to get were selling out and being removed from my cart one by one. So I just said forget it and went to the Mac store in my city. Basically, these were the only ones left of the collection that I wanted. I'm pretty happy about this because I would have had to take them back if I had more.

I have only worn one of them so far. I didn't even feel it to be picture worthy so I didn't take any. The thing I don't like about these is that they don't stay on and you have to rub, rub, rub to really get the color pay off. I usually apply my lip color at the most twice a day. With this lip color, What a Feeling, I had to re-apply it at least 4 times in one day if not more. The formula is super moisturizing so if you are going for more moisture with just a splash of color this formula may be for you. But for me I prefer the Sheen Supreme formula. It is still very moisturizing but it has a lot more staying power than the Huggables. 

On a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the best I give the Mac Huggable Lip color a 3. The colors are pretty and super moisturizing but they do not stay on very long for me.

It's coming.....January 23, 2014 as told to me by an Associate at the MAC store. For some reason I am so ready for this. I was not as excited about the previous RiRi Hearts MAC collections, however, I was able to grab RiRi Woo on the first round. But this time I am excited! I know its going to be a mad dash to get it since the RiRi collections sell out so quickly....its worth it for me. I am very fond of all the Viva Glam collections. I don't have them all but the ones that I do have I love and have purchased them several times over. So get ready girls and boys!

My First Illamasqua Products!

This is my first purchase from Illamasqua. I'm very impressed with the quality of their makeup. I've seen the products in Sephora and finally decided to make a purchase when I saw that the website was having a sale....but BEWARE! If you are purchasing online just know that you are purchasing directly from the UK. The cost will be converted to Great Britain money. I really thought I was getting a deal on these until the price was converted to US dollars but by that time my order had already been placed. So I will not be purchasing from them online. I will just go to Sephora and pay full price! :)

But the shadows are really soft and pigmented. I have not used them yet but they feel really good. I swatched them but didnt take the picture. So I will definitely take some pics when I use them. The blusher is gorgeous as well. It was recommended by a makeup artist friend of mine and she was right! this blush is gorgeous! I can't wait to use it. I have been looking for an orange tone blush that doesnt look powdery. The swatch on my hand was not powdery looking so I have very high hopes for this product.
