Bold Color and ELF's 144 Color Palette

ELF 144 Color Palette
I find myself gravitating towards colors like blues, purples, fushias, pinks....I love those colors! For me really just about any color fits my skin tone....except lime green...lol...I tried a lime green look and it was a disaster! I'm determined to make it work so I'll have to try it again....but anyway...This is a look that I created using ELF's 144 color palette. I was pleasantly surprised with the color pay off. I only paid $12 for the palette so I was really shocked that the color turned out so beautifully. The photo really didnt do the look any justice because it didnt pick up the green in the inner corners. I also used Milani's Rose Hip lipstick which I've read is a close dupe for MAC's Candy Yum Yum. I do not own candy yum yum so I can't say for sure but I love this color. I lined it with MAC currant lip pencil. Im sure you will see more looks using these colors very soon.

I used the same eyelook from above but changed the lip color. I was comparing Wet N Wild's Sugar Plum Fairy and Fergie's Ferguson Crest Cabernet with are basically exact dupes! again...more of my favorite color family....

Pastel Pink

BH Cosmetics Party Girl Palette/10 Color Blush Palette
These two looks were created on different days so for the first one i cant even remember what palette I used but for the second look I used BH Cosmetics Party Girl palette. There is one little soft pink color in that palette along with a soft brown color that I used. I also used my BH cosmetics 10 color blush palette. On my lips I used Wet n Wild Fergie lipstick in V.I. Pink.

How to Achieve a Look Like This:

  1. Prime your eyelid with Urban Decay's eyeshadow primer potion - original.
  2. Sculpt and fill in your brows as you normally would.
    1. I use Mac's self sharpening eyebrow pencil in Spiked to outline and fill in
    2. Next I sculpt under my brow with Mac's studio fix concealer in NC35
  3. Next I apply an eyeshadow base in which i use Mac's Painterly Paint Pot then for this look I also apply NYX's Milk Pencil just on the lid area to brighten the soft pink color
Here is one of my saturday looks that I created. Usually on the weekends I get a little more bold with the colors that I use. I have a corporate job so I try not to go too crazy during the week. But also i was going for a look using all of my new palettes that I got for my birthday and ended up using my Coastal Scents Creative Me #1 palette for this look.  So all of the colors came from Creative me. The lipstick is Milani's Violet Volt. I love love loooooove this lipstick! the color is so bright and purple and the smell is divine! I love Milani lipsticks as well. I've heard these new statment lipsticks are a new formula but I wouldn't know because I've just recently started using Milani Products. I have purchased a few other products from their line as well. I should probably do a review....

Touch of Gold

Lovvvvve this look! I created this look earlier this year (yeah i'm trying to catch up on my FOTD's). I love it. Its a pretty simple look to create. I didnt use a ton of products either. I did this so long ago that I dont remember the exact colors of this look but I'm just basically recreating it in my head as I type.

EYE:
Maybelline Color tatoo in Bold Gold and the lid and as my base.
Then blended it out with MAC Embark eyeshadow and Folie eyeshadow. I think I used a little MAC Nehru in the outer V and blended that in very well. Then I most likely used MAC Ricepaper as my brow highlight. I

CHEEKS:
I most likely used MAC LoveRush as this is my most favorite go-to everyday blush that pretty much matches everything. You can change it up to go heavy and light with it. For this look I went a little light to accentuate the eyes.

FACE:
My foundation routine right now consists of Black Opal creme stick foundation in Truly Topaz. I apply foundation very lightly because I dont really use it as a cover up I just use it to mainly even my skintone and give me a smoother finish. I use MAC Studio fix concealer for a highlight and contour with MAC Mineral skinfinish in dark deep. I set my concealer with Ben Nye Banana Powder.

LIPS:
I used Wet n Wild Lipstick from the Fergie collection in Old School Glam. I also lined my lips with MAC Chestnut lip pencil.

Daytime Soft Neutral Look

I have seriously neglected this blog....I'm going to try to stay on top of updating it and posting my videos.

So I created this quick and easy daytime, neutral look. I tried to use the minimum amount of products so that the look would be simple and easy. I actually got the idea from a video that BeatFaceHoney did on YouTube except I put my own little spin on it and made it less dramatic. I still LOVE her version of the look.

Here is the list of products that I used for the look. To see exactly HOW I did it just take a look at the video! :)

Eye:
Mac Painterly Paint Pot
Urban Decay Vice Palette "FreeBird"
Mac Folie
Mac Nehru
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Pencil "Sin"
Urban Decay Eyeliner Pencil "Perversion"

Cheek:
Coastal Scents 78 Color Eyeshadow/Blush Palette

Face:
Mac StudioFix NC45
NYX Mosaic Highlight

Lips:
NYX Megashine Lipgloss "Sponge Cake"
Ruby Kisses Espresso Lipliner
